About Pocket Jesus

Our mission

Pocket Jesus is a quiet place to bring the questions you carry. It isn’t a substitute for prayer, the sacraments, or the people in your parish. It’s something to reach for when none of those are right there.

We built it because so many of us have questions about faith that never quite make it into a homily or a conversation. The ones that turn up at 3am, or when you’re trying to explain something to a child and realize you don’t quite know the answer yourself. Pocket Jesus is meant to be a friend who’s always listening.

Grounded in Catholic teaching

Pocket Jesus is informed by Catholic teaching, deeply rooted in Vatican tradition. Its responses draw on tens of thousands of questions and answers about Catholic doctrine, grounded in 2,000 years of the Church’s lived faith.

It is not a substitute for a priest, a spiritual director, or your own conscience formed by Scripture, Tradition, and the Magisterium. It’s a place to think things through, not the last word on any of them.

What Pocket Jesus is not

Pocket Jesus is an AI-powered app. It is not officially endorsed by the Catholic Church, the Holy See, the Vatican, or any diocese, parish, or religious order. It is not a sacrament, not a replacement for confession or pastoral care, and not a substitute for professional mental-health or medical advice.
